Scenic Mt. Fuji is the highest mount in all of Japan, and is certainly a marvelous instance of the dazzler that nature can provide. It's m, majestic, and an iconic Japanese landmark.

It's also an active volcano.

Mt. Fuji hasn't erupted for over three hundred years, simply if these new reports are authentic, it may but be overdue.

The force per unit area in Mountain Fuji's magma chamber is now higher than it was in 1707, the concluding time the about iv,000-metre-high Japanese volcano erupted, causing volcanologists to speculate that a disaster is imminent.

The new readings, taken by the National Enquiry Institute for Earth Scientific discipline and Disaster Prevention, reveal that the pressure is at i.6 megapascals, well-nigh sixteen times the 0.1 megapascals it takes to trigger an eruption.

No way to sugar glaze it, folks: this is actually going to blow. It'southward going to be much more a Nippon-the butt for Japan.

Seriously, though, this could be a major disaster for the nation nonetheless recovering from the tsunami in 2011. The price of an eruption (at least, according to Wikipedia) could reach $1.vi billion dollars. When y'all consider the possible the corporeality of people who would die or be displaced... aye, it'southward not looking very good for the country of the rising sun.

Will Japan exist unprepared for the coming tide of liquid hot magma, or volition they volca-know what to do when the time comes?

Whoah this isn't the time to pun around Gahars! This seems to be very serious. Hopefully Japan has prepared for more than earthquakes and accept a back up plan if things get wrong.

T.T Why must yous exercise that. :( \/

Hey, gotta go along up the lava-ty.

Seriously, reading that made me feel like I was punished for something...

Concord with Sterling. A scrap too dire of a situation to joke effectually almost with puns.

I judge the only upside is that they have to time to prepare now that they know it will erupt quondam soon. Although I don't know how you lot would ready for a volcano eruption...

Meh, Apple should pay information technology. They've received stolen enough money from Samsung recently oasis't they?

They are definitely preparing for an eruption. Another extract from the article...
Regions that would be affected, including Kanagawa, Yamanashi and Shizuoka, plan to hold a test run of an evacuation by 2014, with a meeting of local governments covering progress of the plans and of shelter preparations slated for Apr 2013.

The problem is, (from what I understand, at least), is that there's but no way to exactly pinpoint when this volition happen. It could be yr from now (or less), or twenty (or more). It'south a tough thing to set up for.

Samsung is a Korean company. I don't run into how they or Apple should have anything to practice with this.

Samsung is a Korean company. I don't meet how they or Apple should take anything to exercise with this.
Information technology's merely that Apple tree could.

It'southward just that Apple tree could.
Lot's of companies could, including Samsung. Again, that doesn't make information technology relevant to the topic and seems to be but more blatant Apple tree bashing.

WOW I know nature needs to take its form but Japan just barely survived a tsunami. I highly dubiety they'll survive a volcanic eruption.

Does anyone know if Japan has properly protected their nuclear reactors if this eruption happens?

The pressure in Mount Fuji's magma chamber is now college than information technology was in 1707, the concluding time the most 4,000-metre-high Japanese volcano erupted, causing volcanologists to speculate that a disaster is imminent.

The new readings, taken by the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention, reveal that the pressure is at ane.six megapascals, nearly 16 times the 0.one megapascals it takes to trigger an eruption.

I know next to nothing about volcanos, bated that they're very hot, but shouldn't information technology have erupted already if the pressure was that high compared to the amount of force per unit area needed for an eruption?

Regions that would be afflicted, including Kanagawa, Yamanashi and Shizuoka, programme to agree a examination run of an evacuation past 2014, with a meeting of local governments covering progress of the plans and of shelter preparations slated for April 2013.
Whereas the affair could blow any day at present?

The pressure in Mount Fuji's magma chamber is now college than it was in 1707, the last time the most 4,000-metre-loftier Japanese volcano erupted, causing volcanologists to speculate that a disaster is imminent.

The new readings, taken by the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention, reveal that the force per unit area is at 1.vi megapascals, nearly xvi times the 0.1 megapascals information technology takes to trigger an eruption.

I know next to nothing about volcanos, bated that they're very hot, but shouldn't information technology accept erupted already if the pressure level was that high compared to the corporeality of pressure needed for an eruption?

I recollect that's just the minimum amount of pressure required for an eruption to be possible. Plus, I'd assume that dissimilar volcanoes can probably build up dissimilar pressures.

They shouldn't have destroyed the Alius' base so ;) Inazuma Eleven ii reference.

Anyway, shit Japan, be prepared! D:

Yeah Gahars,it'southward all puns and games until
Although I don't know how y'all would fix for a volcano eruption...

Unless they have the applied science to finish a Volcano in some fashion, all y'all tin practice is pack upward and exit. If it was me, I would have left equally fast every bit I tin as soon as I heard this.

This is bad.
Isn't in that location a way to guide the lava to the bounding main?
